I have always been 'epicurious' when it comes to food. My mom has inspired me from past to present. She taught me simple crock pot recipes when I was 10 and from there the sky was the limit. By the time I was 14, I made most of our family dinners, and here's the kick, I enjoyed it!

As a teenager I read cookbooks and watched television shows like the Great Chefs series, The Galloping Gourmet, and of course, Julia Child.

During college I had the opportunity to eat and drink my way through  England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and the continental US. Experiencing foreign cultures and foods is a true passion of mine!

In 1996 my mom and dad uprooted from their home in Central NY and headed south to Pinehurst, NC. We opened up our restaurant within a matter of weeks. We served breakfast and lunch in our tiny, but very popular Harness Track Restaurant for the next year.

I loved having a family business. Even though it was such hard work, it was really a great experience. I had to learn every facet of the restaurant business in order to help my parents and that prepared me for the next step in my culinary career.

About a year later I took my apron and hit the road with an on-location motion picture catering company based in Wilmington, NC. I worked with CIA chefs improving my skills and food knowledge. As a salad chef I learned a ton of healthy recipes. I worked with the cast and crew of Dawson's Creek, Arlington Road, Black Dog, Muppets From Space, and more.

One of my favorite catering memories is working on Arlington Road. Jeff Bridges was great to work with. He requested a personalized salad bar for lunch every day. It was fun to come up with new toppings and combinations for him. He was always so appreciative of my efforts. I didn't mind the extra work one bit!

I moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2000 and began working on cooking shows for the Food Network. A few years later I transitioned into food styling for print photography.  Making food pretty for the camera is a lot of fun!

That all brings me to my personal chef business. I decided to become a personal chef a couple of years ago while living in Los Angeles. It has truly been rewarding to make a positive impact and enrich people's lives through my passion for food.

I love being a personal chef, it's as simple as that!

That brings us up to date. I relocated back to my favorite little city in the south, Wilmington, NC  in the fall of 2005.

I brought Eaton At Home Personal Services to our Port City with a mission to offer healthy alternatives to take-out, delivery and fast food.  The response has been fantastic!

The overwhelming need for personal chef services in our area has kept me hopping, to say the least.

So that's it in a nutshell. Please have a look around the site and feel free to call if you have any questions!
